很多人搞不清used to/be used to/get used to

今天来讲一个比较简单的词汇辨析，《used to家族》used to的用法。没错，就是大家经常会搞混的used to/get uesd to/be used to的应用，其中的区别辨析让罐头菌今天来说清楚吧，Let‘s go！

Used toused to的用法：过去经常做的事情（但是现在已经不做了）

这里的to是不定式used to的用法，因此后面要跟动词原形

用法：used to + V（原型）

I used to play with my friends after school. 

过去放学后我常常和朋友们一起玩。

否定：

I used not to play with my friends after school. 

过去放学后我不会常常和朋友一起玩。

要注意的是，由于used to表示过去的某个常做的事情，因此句子中是不会加入次数（例如：three times），时间段（例如：five years，two mouths）的。

Be used to do/doing：有两种用法

用法一：be used to V（原型）/：事物被用于...

这里的to是不定式，used是被动形式

Wood is used to make paper.

木材被用来造纸。

用法二:be used to V-ing/sth:表示人习惯做某事/东西

这里的to充当介词，因此后面要跟动名词或者名词

Mr. Li is used to washing his face with cold water.

李先生习惯于用冷水洗脸。

Get used to ：开始习惯于（从不习惯到习惯的一个过程）

用法：Get used to V-ing/sth

used to有何用法？

1. used to：modal verb. (negative didn\'t use to) used to say that something happened continuously or frequently during a period in the past; expressing a frequent or continuous action in the past; in questions and negative sentences usu. with did. 表示过去的习惯性动作，过去如此，现在不再这样了。常译作“过去常常”。 表达过去经常的或持续的行为, 在疑问句和否定句中通常与did连用):

* Mary used to be a model worker. 玛丽过去一直是模范工作者。

* I used to live in London. 我过去一直住在伦敦.

* Life here is much easier than it used to be. 如今在此地生活比起从前可舒服多了.

* There used to be an apple tree here, didn\'t there? 从前这里有一个苹果树, 对吧?

* You didn’t use to like pop songs. 你过去常常不喜欢流行歌曲。

* You didn\'t use to drink. 你过去不喝酒。

* Did you use to go swimming in the river when you were young? 你小时候经常在河里游泳吗？

* Used he go to school on foot? 他过去步行上学吗？

2. 注意used to 和be used to的区别：Do not confuse used to do something with be used to something.

You use used to do something to talk about something that happened regularly or was the case in the past, but is not now: I used to smoke, but I gave up a couple of years ago.

You use be used to something / to doing something to talk about something that you are familiar with so that it no longer seems new or strange to you: be used to doing something的意思是“习惯于做某事”，to的后面用动名词，它可以用现在、过去和将来等时态，be可以用get、become连系动词代替。

Don\'t worry - you\'ll soon get used to his sense of humor.

I didn\'t think I could ever get used to living in a big city after living in the country.

She is not used to eating Chinese food. 她不习惯吃中餐。

He is used to hard work. 他习惯于艰苦的工作。

3. 注意be used to do something的意思是“被用来做某事”，是动词短语use ...to do的被动语态结构，used是动词的过去分词（be done 被动时态）。

Knives are used to cut things.小刀是用来切东西的。

4. used to与would的不同用法

used to可表示过去的习惯动作或状态, 可无时间状语，不能与表示一段时间的状语连用；而would只表示过去的习惯动作，不接表示认识或状态的动词, 往往要带有时间状语，常与often, frequently, sometimes, for hours等连用。used to泛指过去的习惯性动作或状态，；而would指的是talk about things in the past that happened often or always:表示过去的习惯性动作时，

He would always turn and wave at the end of the street.

People used to think that the sun went around the earth. 人们过去常常认为，太阳绕着地球转

Mr. Lee would sit for hours, deeply thinking. 李先生过去经常一坐好几个小时沉思着。
